2010 in review

When I started this blog in August, I didn’t expect too much of a response. I thought I’d get a few friends looking in from time to time, and the occasional angry theist, but there’s been a steady flow of readers. What’s even more gratifying is that the comments have been, for the most part, thoughtful and polite, even when in disagreement with me. One person in particular who, judging by her profile, is probably quite far from me politically (and possibly in matters of religion) made some pleasing comments about my piece on the Westboro Baptists Church. To some extent there is truth in the assertion that “moderates provide cover for extremists”, but it isn’t true in all cases, and if I’ve provided a platform for even one person to show this, I’m very happy. I’ve also learned a great deal from other people. My little blog won’t change the world, but the responses to it have changed my view of it. I’m more optimistic than when I started!

The following is a report from WordPress on  how my blog did in 2010 (just sincxe August remember!)  I’d particularly like to thank CJ (jerome23.wordpress.com) whose link to here provided  quite a few hits. Thanks also to everyone who has linked to my blog.

The stats helper monkeys at WordPress.com mulled over how this blog did in 2010, and here’s a high level summary of its overall blog health:
